At Prairie Eye Care Edmonton, we believe quality eye care should be accessible to everyone. Whether you’re visiting us for the first time or returning for your annual check-up, we’ve designed every step of our patient experience to ensure convenience, comfort, and dignity for all.
Wheelchair-Accessible and Easy to Navigate
Our clinic is fully wheelchair accessible, from the parking lot to the exam room. There’s no need to navigate stairs, heavy doors, or cramped spaces.
We’ve designed our facility with mobility in mind to ensure that patients who use wheelchairs, walkers, or other assistive devices can move comfortably and confidently through their visit.
Easy to Find – With Landmarks You Know
We’re conveniently located just south of West Edmonton Mall in the same plaza as Sorrentino’s and Starbucks. Whether you’re coming by car, bus, or with a caregiver, we’re easy to spot and even easier to get to.
Minimal Wait Times & Comfortable Pre-Testing
Once you arrive, our front desk team quickly helps you through the check-in process. We collect your personal details, medical history, and insurance information before guiding you to our pre-testing area.
Pre-tests include:
- Autorefractor: Estimates your lens prescription.
- Optomap retinal imaging: Takes wide-angle photos of your eyes.
- Eye pressure measurement: Screens for glaucoma and other eye conditions.
Each step is conducted with your comfort in mind, and our team is happy to assist anyone who may need a little extra time or support.
Personalized Care for All Ages
After pre-testing, you’ll meet with your optometrist for a full exam tailored to your needs. If you require glasses or contact lenses, we’ll help you explore the right options in a relaxed, pressure-free setting. Our optical team is experienced at assisting patients of all ages and abilities.
